Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 12/22/1898 Ramer, Michael
(1842 - 14 Dec 1898) Michael Ramer, who
has been ill with heart disease for several months past, died on
Wednesday morning of last week, aged fifty-six years. Mr. Ramer was
born in Germany and came to this country about sixteen eyars ago
with his family and has been a resident of this vicinity for about
twelve years. He was a hard working, industrious citizen and had
just completed improvements on his farm, which would have enabled
him to take life easier in the future, when he was taken ill with
heart trouble, which in a few short months ended in his death. He
leaves a sorrowing wife and five grown-up children, three girls and
two boys, all of whom reside here except the oldest daughter who is
still a resident of Germany. The funeral occurred on Saturday
morning from St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Rev. James Korczyk
officiating, and a very large concourse of citizens, showing their
high esteem for deceased, accompanied the remains to their last
resting place at the Catholic Cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
