Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 04/05/1900 Brandon, Jennie (?
- 31 Mar 1900) Mrs. Jennie
Brandon, residing alone on a farm about four miles southwest of
here (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), accidentally set fire to her
clothing about 9 p.m. on Saturday evening last and her entire body
was burned in a horrible manner. She lingered until about 2 a.m. on
Monday morning when death came to her relief. Her husband, Al
Brandon, died at the Mendota insane asylum about two years ago. She
leaves no relatives in this vicinity and in her ante-mortem
statement expressed a desire that her farm and personal property
worth about $1000 be turned over to Wm. Jerard, who had been her
friend. Her former home, we understand, was about seven miles from
Memphis, Tenn., but she has been a resident of this vicinity for
nearly twenty years. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
