William and George Zillman
(Brothers to Herman, Ed and Richard) William Zillmann,
residing at Manitowoc, father of George Zillmann of this village
(Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), and who has visited here annually for
a number of years past, died very suddenly at his home on Friday
morning last. His son, George Zillmann and family had gone to
Manitowoc last week to pay his parents a visit and had arrived
there but two days before the unexpected death took place. The day
previous to Mr. Zillmann's death he appeared to be enjoying unusual
good health and in company with his son George, had spent the day
visiting friends, returning home about nine o'clock in the evening,
at which time he became slightly ill, but retired as usual, but at
one o'clock the following morning suddenly expired. Mr. Zillmann
was born in Germany on May 13, 1832, and came to America in 1852,
when twenty years of age, settling in Sheboygan, where he resided
until 1870 when he removed to Rockville, and about a year ago
removed to Manitowoc. He is survived by a wife and seven children,
two deceased. Mr. Zillmann had many acquaintances in this vicinity
who formerly resided in Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties, who
remember him as a man of sterling integrity, honest, progressive
and an exemplary citizen. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
