Frank Butler

Frank R. Butler, 96, W15719 CTH F, Thorp, W1, passed away on February 18, 2003 at Victory Medical Center in Stanley, WI.

He was born May 22, 1906, in Fort Collins, CO, the son of James and Gertrude (Rogers) Butler. He grew up in Colorado and Nebraska. He was united in marriage to June Trent on July 3, 1930, in Alliance, Nebraska. They lived and farmed in Nebraska until 1937 when they moved to Montana. He worked in construction and ranched on the Big Horn River until 1979 when they moved to the Town of Taft and resided there since.

He is survived by one son Milton (Rose) Butler of Thorp and six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife June in 1998 and three brothers.

He loved raising his cattle and watching them grow and also enjoyed the garden.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 22, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, WI with Pastor Michael Weaver officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Stanley, WI. Visitation for friends and family was one hour prior to the services.
