Schaffner, Edward (3 Mar 1818 - 25 Feb 1906)
Edward Schaeffner, who died at his home 3 miles southeast of Loyal, Clark County, Wis. on Feb. 25, 1906 and buried Feb. 28, was born in Germany on March 3, 1818. He was united in marriage to Miss Pauline Zipfel (Zipke?) in that country and then moved to Milwaukee, thence to Berlin, and 23 years ago to Clark County, where he has remained permanently.
He leaves eight children to mourn his loss, who are Edward, Mrs. Oscar Ratzburg, Mrs. Oscar Jahr, Charles Hannan, Clara, William and Helen.
The funeral services were held in the Lutheran Church, Rev. Lang officiating.
