Roehl, Christian (2 Mar 1848 - 9 OCT 1906)
Mr. Christian Roehl, a farmer living two miles north of Loyal, Clark County, Wis., passed to the great beyond Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 9, 1906. The cause of his death was heart trouble with which he became seriously ill, Monday morning, Oct. 8, 1906, although having bee affected with his heart for several years past.
Mr. Roehl was born in Germany, March 2, 1848, where he lived with his parents until 1867, when they sailed for the United States. They settled at London, Wis., tow of Lake Mills, Jefferson Co.
He was married to Miss Dora Sophia Albrecht, to which union eight children were born, five girls and three boys, all of who are living but two. Besides these he leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Roehl moved his family to this county five years ago, settling two miles north of Loyal. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him.
After a short sermon at the house yesterday afternoon the remains were taken to his old home, London, Wis., Jefferson Co., where he will be laid to rest Friday forenoon.
