The Ladies’ Aid Society of the Presbyterian church will meet at the residence of Mrs. S. F. Saseph on next Wednesday afternoon.
Strayed - Strayed from the premises of the subscriber, on Cawley Creek, Clark County, Wis. On or about the 25th of September, 1875, one dark brindle stag, with point of one horn broken off, and the letters W. H. P. branded on the other; said stag had a bell on at the time of his disappearance. Any person giving information leading to the recovery of the save will be suitably rewarded. W. H. Suicide Last Monday Charlie Christie, aged about fourteen years, the son of a widow lady living about four miles north of this place, committed suicide while under the influence of liquor, by shooting himself with a revolver. We have heard several stories relating to this sad transaction but have been unable to determine just how much reliance can be placed in them further than that whisky was the cause, and suicide the result.
