Marx, Mertie M. (26 Augl 1880 - 27 NOV 1907)

Died, on yesterday morning at half past eight o'clock in the morning, Mrs. Mertie May Killips Marx at the house of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Jillson, in the town of Loyal, Clark County, Wis., of a complication of diseases at the age of twenty-seven years, three months and one day.

She came to Loyal about two years ago and on Feb. 24, 1906, was married to Fred Marx and resided on a farm two and one-half miles southeast of the village.

She suffered a great deal before death came to her relief, but passed away as if going to sleep. She was operated upon three different times at Marshfield and about two months ago was taken to the home of her grandparents, where she died.

To her the struggle and burden bearing of earth are ended and we confidently trust that like one who awakes from a trouble dream she has awakened to see life's endless morning break and knows herself at home with all the vast throng of loved ones. She made many friends during her short stay among us.

She is survived by her husband, mother, two brothers and a sister.

The funeral services will be held at the house at half past one o'clock on Saturday afternoon and the remains interred in the Dodgeville Cemetery.
