Garvin, Meda (Marriage - 4 Dec 1907)
What more appropriate time could there be for the union of hearts than the month of December, the month of the greatest holiday of the year, when the hearts of the whole world are going out to their fellowman.
On Wednesday morning at eight o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Garvin occurred the marriage of their daughter, Meda, to Mr. Thomas Catlin. Rev. Towne, pastor of the M. E. Church, pronounced the ceremony in a most beautiful and impressive manner.
At the close of the ceremony congratulations were extended and an elegant lunch served to the bridal party and the bride and groom's parents.
The bride has grown up in our midst from a little girl, honored by old and young alike. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Catlin and is a prosperous farmer who can count his friends by the score.
The bride and groom, attended by Miss Allie Darton and Irvin Etta, drove to Spencer in the forenoon, where the happy young couple took the train for Milwaukee to visit a week. They will make their future home on the farm of the groom's parents four miles east of this village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.). It is a pleasure to chronicle the marriage of such worthy young people and this paper extends to them its warmest congratulations.
