The first of the week Tom Philpott, the boss high sheriff of the county, went to Jackson County in search of a team belonging to Al Brown, which he lent to a Norwegian last spring to work during the summer for its keeping, and which he, the said Norsk, traded away, and left the country. One of the horses had been traded to five different parties, but Tom tracked them out, and they are now in the possession of their owner.
