Obituary of Karl F. Damerow

Karl Frederick Damerow passed away at the home of his son Herman in the town of Longwood which was the old home farm, Wednesday, January 13 at 3 A.M.

He was 85 years old and was born in Germany. He came to Greenwood 35 years ago. His wife passed away 15 years ago, and a daughter, Agnes died on Saturday, January 9th. Also one son Max Otto and two daughters (Anna) Mrs. Oscar Horn and (Helen) Mrs. Edward Kruse.

He is survived by the following children: Herman, Mrs. E. Braun and Karl of the town of Longwood; Paul of the Town of Warner; Mrs. George Fiske of Milwaukee and Wm of Taylor Lake, ten grand children, one great grand child and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at 2:00 from the Braun Settlement Reformed church, Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Braun Settlement cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Metcalf, John Vollrath, Herman Pautz, August Pautz, Wm. Horn and Geo. Poppe. Flower girls were Violet Peich, Sohanna Reber and Edna Preller.

Those from away who were here for the funeral were Mrs. Geo. Fiske, Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Stanley and son and Geo. Stanley of Milwaukee, Wm. Damerow of Taylor Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frank of Chicago and Mrs. Martha Ratz and son Edward of Green Grove.
