TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 01/21/1909 Calnan, Marcia (14
JAN 1882 - 15 Jan 1909) Died, at her home
in Berthold, N. D., on Jan. 15, 1909, Mrs. J. W. Calnan (nee Miss
Marcia Darton) at the age of twenty-seven years. The deceased was a
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Darton and was born in the town
of Beaver, Clark County, Wis. on Jan. 14, 1882, where she grew to
womanhood. She was a graduate of the Loyal High School of the class
of 1899 and also attended the Stevens Point Normal School. She
taught several terms of school in the town of Beaver and vicinity,
and the Glidden and Park Falls High Schools. She was married to
John W. Calnan on June 27, 1906, and moved directly to Berthold,
where she resided until her death. She was of an
affectionate disposition, bright and winning in her ways, so that
friendship's circle was to her a large one. Her cheerful,
beautiful, helpful life; her kindness to everybody, will long
linger as a fragrant memory to all those who knew her. She leaves to
mourn her loss a husband and infant daughter, father, mother,
sister, and other relatives and friends by the score. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
