The work on the new flooding dam at the Dells is progressing finely. Al Bright is superintending the affair in his usual energetic way. The mess houses at meal time puts one in mind of army days. The little army at work on the dam will certainly leave it ready for flooding before it freezes up.

Mr. Joseph Morley has entered the employment of James O’Neill, Jr. in whose office he will do the conveyancing in connection with his abstract business. He will prove a very valuable assistant to Mr. O’Neill, as he can carry on that part of the business during the employer’s absence from the office. During her residence here Mr. Morley has shown business qualifications that are appreciated.

Not for the benefit of the circus, but for that of our readers who May desire to know something about it before investing in it, we would say of Burr Robbins’ circus, that it is one of the best exhibitions of the kind now traveling. We do not take much stock in circuses, but those who do will not be disappointed in this.

The new road on the east side of the river, leading to Hatfield, which we have so often complained of, has got to be a very passable road. It is not as smooth as the old road yet, but it is much harder, and, altogether, a much easier one at present.

The letters I have are approximately 26, dated at the time when his circus was in full going..these are mostly personal and family talking to him...he does say things about the circus but not a lot I have not read these for quite sone time it it hard to read the writing from different relatives. I do have a 6 page letter written by Burr Robbins with pretty much have envelops I do plan to either sell it on eBay or through the circus historical society ... these letters let you know what his personality was like and his thinking since I dont think there is a lot known about this subject. Please write and be sure to put circus in the addressing of the letter I just delite junk mail.

My great grandfather was an aerialist named William "Bib" Forepaugh and he performed in Burr Robbin's Circus in 1874. I would be very interested if any mention of him is made in the papers you have.
