Henry Speigel fell from a scaffold last Monday night while watching a deer lick, near Thos. McPherson’s, in the town of Grant, receiving very serious, and possibly fatal injuries. Several of his ribs on the left side under the shoulder blade and the floating ribs on the right side were broken in the fall. He also sustained severe injuries about the head, and has been delirious most of the time since he was found, sometime during last Monday morning. He is unable to tell anything about the cause of the accident, or at what time it happened. It is fairly conjectured that, he went to sleep, and fell from the scaffold during his nap.
