Atteln, Clara (Marriage - 13 May 1909)
The Catholic Church was the scene of a wedding today, which took place at nine o'clock. The contracting parties were Miss Clara Atteln and Mr. John J. Swieso, both of them from prominent families in this vicinity, and the wedding was performed by Rev. Stenz, the ceremony being the nuptial high mass.
When Mrs. Lawrence Emerson at the pipe organ commence the music of the mass, the church was nearly filled with friends of the young couple, both from this village and country, and when the bride and groom came down the aisle, preceded by attendants, the scene was one of beauty.
The bride was dressed in white Persian Lawn, wore white roses for flowers and was attended by Miss Eleanor Atteln and the groom by Edward Kreuser.
At the conclusion of the ceremony the bridal party and the invited guests went to the home of the bride's father, where a reception was given.
The bride is a daughter of Albert Atteln and well known and respected by all. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Swieso and is very popular among his associates.
We wish the young couple a happy and successful voyage through life's journey.
