The farm pictured above belonged to Hiram Schofield and his wife, was listed as a Centennial farm in the 1974 Unity Township Centennial Newspaper. In 1870, Hiram Schofield removed to Unity from Boscobel, Wis. To homestead 40 acres. When they retired and moved to Spencer, their son, George, and his wife took over the farm. George later sold the farm to his son, Lee, and his wife. Lee sold the farm to his son, Ray, but continued to live in the old home. Ray and his wife, Pat, built a new home on land adjoining the original farm. At present they milk 54 cows and keep 24 heifers on the farm which has grown to 280 acres.
