Judge Dewhurst and John Reed, who went south last February to rusticate for bodily improvement, returned last Saturday. Mr. Reed, whose health was quite critical at the time they started on that trip, we are glad to state, returns almost himself again.
R. M. Campbell narrowly escaped a general smash-up last Sunday, while out driving, by the breaking of the pole-straps, by which the buggy pole was allowed to fall to the ground. By good hanging-on and timely assistance, no damage was sustained.
