Moseley, Joyce K. (1946 - 2002)
Joyce fought a long and courageous battle against breast cancer, which ultimately took her life on July 16, 2002. She never looked for sympathy during those six long years, but instead, always had concerns for her family and friends that they were able to enjoy life to its fullest as she had during her short stay on earth. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and would bake and cook for hours before they would come home for a weekend stay. Joyce would make sure that she baked enough goodies so that her visitors could take some home with them when they left her house. Anybody who was lucky enough to taste some of her food can attest that it was some of the best they had ever eaten. Another of her joys was her flowerbeds, and she always kept them looking beautiful. A weekend at the camper at Birchwood reading a book and relaxing on the deck was a special time for Joyce. She always had time to help her kids with their homework, fix their broken toys, and give them their daily baths, no matter how busy she was with her housework, canning or baking. She had a great love for her family and would get that sparkle in her eye when talking of their accomplishments in their lives. During all this, she worked a full- time job at F&M Bank and later at Sautebin Law Office. During the softball season one c6uld always expect to see Joyce in the concession stand making popcorn and serving everyone his or her favorite beverage. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and willingness to help others.
