Simmons, Ida (1871? - 8 Mar 1911)
Died, Mrs. Ida Simmons of Loyal, Clark County, Wis., at the hospital in Stevens Point Wednesday morning, March 8, 1911, where she went to take treatment.
Her maiden name was Miss Ida Chatman and she was born in Chardon, Ohio, about thirty-nine years ago. She was married to Wilford Simmons of the town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis. in her native town in Ohio, Sept. 1890, and came to Clark County, Wis. the following November with her husband, where they resided most of the time until the death of her husband, which occurred Sept. 8, 1905. She leaves to mourn her loss two boys, Paul, age about seventeen and Ernest, a little over five years old, besides numerous other relatives.
The funeral services were held at the Beaver Church Sunday, March 12th, conducted by Rev. D. S. Householder of Spencer, and the remains laid at rest in the Beaver Cemetery beside her husband and a little son, who was burned to death when they lost their house by fire some seven or eight years ago.
