Nichols, Perry (19 AUG 1890 - 9 Augl 1911)
News has been received that Perry Nichols, second son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Nichols, died Aug. 9, 1911 in the hospital at Miles City, Mont., where he had been operated on for appendicitis. His remains were brought back to Baker for burial.
The past few weeks of his life he suffered intensely.
He was a very promising young man, and had he lived ten days longer would have been 21 years of age.
His parents had counted much on his helping them establish a home in that new country, as his older brother has been an invalid for years.
Mr. and Mrs. Nichols have many friends in this vicinity (Clark County, Wis.), who sincerely sympathize with them in their great bereavement.
Perry Nichols was born Aug. 19, 1890, one and one-half miles west of this village, where Henry Nichols now resides. When quite small he moved with his parents to the village of Loyal, where he attended the public school for several years. He then moved with his parents to Waupaca, where he finished his education.
One year ago last spring he went West with his parents, who took up a homestead near Baker, Mont., from his home there he was taken to the hospital where he died.
He leaves to mourn his loss, father, mother, a sister, and two brothers, besides many relatives and friends.
