Meacham, Lenard G. (8 Jan 1885 - 14 OCT 1911)
Lenard Guy Meacham, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Meacham, died at his home Oct. 14, 1911. He was born Jan. 8, 1885 in the village of Unity. Clark County, Wis. When he was two years old his parents moved to a farm in the town of Unity, where he has resided since that time except a few years, which he spent at Sparta, devoting most of his time to the study of music and becoming proficient with the violin.
During the greater part of his comparatively short life he was handicapped with ill health due to a complication of diseases arising from his having scarlet fever several years ago. During all this time he bore his suffering and affliction with the greatest patience and cheerfulness. The immediate cause of his death was heart failure.
He leaves to mourn his loss his parents and four brothers, Edward of Absher, Mont., Raymond, who is now in Mich., Ira and Archie, besides many other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held at Hope Chapel Oct. 16th at one o'clock, Rev. D. S. Householder officiating, and the remains laid at rest in the Spencer Cemetery.
