Mueller, Carl (21 OCT 1832 - 1 Jan 1912)

In the death of Carl Mueller, who passed away on New Year's Day, another pioneer of our vicinity is taken from our midst.

Carl Mueller was born in Pamir, Germany, on Oct. 21, 1832. In 1867 he came to Quebec, Canada, and later in the same year went to Milwaukee, Wis. During the following years he worked in different points in Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa. In 1875 he entered the bonds of holy matrimony with Miss Etta Harp of Milwaukee and in the next year moved onto the farm near Veefkind in the town of Sherman, Clark County, Wis., where they have lived ever since. To them were born six sons and two daughters, Henry, Fred, George, August, John, Carl, Minnie and Mary, all of which are living except Henry, who died four years ago.

For the past eight years he has been a sufferer of ulcers of the stomach. He bore his cross bravely and patiently and passed away on Jan. 1, 1912, at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 11 days. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, six sons and two daughters, two brothers and a host of friends.
