Robert Henry Graham was born in the town of Platteville in Grant Co., Wis., on Sept. 18, 1838, where he grew to manhood. On Jan. 1, 1866, he was united in marriage to Miss Jane Lee, also of Platteville. To them was born one son, John A., of the town of Fremont, Clark County, Wis.
He moved to Clark County, Wis. with his son five years ago and lived on a farm in Fremont until last summer, when he came to Loyal and has since made his home here, until his death which occurred on Saturday, May 24, 1913.
He had been ill with heart trouble ever since last fall and the last few weeks dept fading rapidly. He was a kind husband and father and respected by all who made his acquaintance during his short sojourn among us.
Besides his wife and son, deceased is survived by his aged mother, two brothers, three sisters, and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Graham was a veteran of the Civil War, having served three years in Co. F, 3rd Wis. Infantry and 100 days in Co. A, 41st Regiment, Wis. He was a sergeant of the latter company. He was an honored member of the G. A. R. Post of Platteville, Wis. and has a multitude of friends who mourn his loss.
The body was taken to Platteville for interment Monday.
