Faulk, August (? - 31 Jul 1913)
Mr. and Mrs. William Luchterhand received a message last week Thursday that their son-in-law, August Faulk, who resides six miles from Hartford, Wis., was killed by lightning that day. He was pumping water in the barn when the flash came and he was instantly killed. The barn was rodded and two points were burned, however, the rods were disconnected on one end, which accounts for the accident. The barn was not injured. Mr. and Mrs. Luchterhand left on Friday morning to be in attendance at the funeral.
Mrs. Faulk is well known here (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) and has the sympathy of her many friends in her bereavement.
The funeral services were held on last Sunday and the remains buried at Hillsborough near Hartford.
