Obituary of Otto Behrens
Otto Behrens Passes Away
Otto C. Behrens, Son of Mrs. Chas. Roseman, was born February 16, 1863 at Milwaukee and came with is mother to Neillsville, where his mother married Mr. Roseman and they resided in Neillsville where Mr. Behrens grew to manhood.
On April 12, 1891 he was united in marriage at Loyal to Miss Louise Cummings of Greenwood. To this union were born three sons, Clyde of Greenwood, Carrol of Stevens Point and Fred of Greenwood.
Mr. and Mrs. Behrens came to Greenwood immediately afer their marriage and have rsided here ever since. Mr. Behrens drove the first stage between Greenwood and Withee.
He passed away at his moe in this city Tuesday Moring, October 4, 1938 at 12:15 o'clock after an illness of two years duration, altho he was up and around until about 2 months ago.
He is survived by his wife and three sons, two sisters, Mrs. Fred Belore of Ementon, Canada, Mrs. Henry Mahar of Neillsville, one brother, Alex of Greenwood, five grandsons, Robert, Eugene and Charles of Stevens Point and Douglas and Tommy of Greenwood and a step sister-in-law, Mrs. Louise Roseman of Loyal.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Afternoon, October 6, at 1:30 o'clock from the home and at 2:00 o'clock from the local M.E. Church, Rev Gaylord officiating. The body will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
