Spencer, Herb (? - 16 NOV 1913)
Herb Spencer of Colby, Wis. was killed on last Sunday morning between the stations of Osborn and Atwood, Clark County, Wis., either by train No. 3 or 7. It is not certain which one ran over him but it is believed that No. 7 was the one to take his life.
His parents reside at Colby and he makes his home there. He attended a dance at Osborn on Saturday night and was, no doubt, on his way home when the train struck him and he was in all probability instantly killed.
Train No. 7 stopped and returned and picked up the mutilated body and took it to Owen, Clark County, and from there it was taken to the town of Green Grove, Clark County, where he was buried.
It is not known just how he met his death, as he had no companions and was entirely alone.
