Schuld, Matt (15 AUG 1848 - 23 Mar 1914)
Last Monday afternoon another well liked and highly respected citizen of our neighboring town wandered into the great beyond. Mr. Matt Schuld, who for a number of years lived in the village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.), but for the last few years has made his home on his son's farm in the town of Pelsdorf, quietly passed away. Mr. Schuld has been ailing for some time but his death came unexpected.
He was born at Jefferson, Wis., Aug. 15, 1848, and came to this vicinity about thirty-one years ago. He first bought a piece of wild land and out of this made a fine farm, he then sold the farm and moved to Loyal, but later on moved onto the farm owned by his son. He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn his death. The children are: Joe, Alice and Mrs. Amos Bady in Montana, John in the neighborhood of Spencer, William at Pelsdorf, Mrs. Peter Andre, Adam and Fank, somewhere in the far west.
The funeral will be held from the Catholic Church today, Rev. Stenz officiating.
