Blumenstein, Clarence (13 Sep 1875 - 8 May 1914)

Last Friday afternoon Clarence Blumenstein died suddenly at Marshfield. He had been sickly for a number of years, but death came unexpected, and was a surprise to the entire community. He was employed her by A. Blumenstein since last July, and was a man of great responsibility.

He was born in Manitowoc Co. Sept. 13, 1875 and came to Wood Co. with his parents when an infant. In 1903 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Lahman. He always made his home at Marshfield until he came to Loyal, Clark County, Wis. last July. He was sick abed for only a week, when he was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield last Friday to be nearer his family. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and three boys, the oldest being ten years and the youngest four years of age, his parents and a large circle of relatives and friends.

The funeral was held from St. Paul's Church at Marshfield last Monday afternoon, Rev. Fleer officiating.

Those who attended the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. A. Blumenstein, Esther and Elmer Etta and Marvin Covey.
