Putnam, Floy C. (Marriage - 29 Apr 1914)

The home of W. J. Meeks was handsomely decorated Wednesday evening in honor of the wedding, which took place at 8 o'clock. The contracting parties were Miss Floy C. Putnam and Mr. Ray R. Anderson, both of very prominent and highly respected families of our community (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.). The wedding was performed by Rev. Thomas Harris. Miss Lilas Putnam, sister of the bride, and Talford B. Bea of Waupaca, acted as witnesses, while little Miss Margaret Church was ring bearer. The bride was prettily gowned in white embroidered batiste and carried a bouquet of white carnations and the bridesmaid wore pink and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. After the ceremony an elaborate supper was served, for which the tables were tastefully decorated. Those present besides their respective families were Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Harris, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Max Haslett, Mrs. A. K. Church and Mrs. Rosa Frasier.

The bride is a daughter of Mrs. W. J. Meeks. She is a young lady of many graces of mind and person. For many years she has been teaching school at different places, and was engaged in this work at Veefkind, Clark County during the last two terms.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson, one of our best families. He is a man of good qualities and has a host of friends.

They received many beautiful presents and hearty congratulations. The Tribune also wishes them the best of luck through married life.

The young couple will make their home on the George Anderson farm, where they will be at home to their friends after May 15th.
