Marjory "Margie" E. Olson 1919-2002

Margie Evelyn Olson, 83, of Prairie Du Chien, formerly of Loyal, died at Memorial Hospital in Prairie Du Chien on Dec. 20.

Marjory Evelyn Manier was born on June 28, 1919 in Stanley, the daughter of Clifford and Bessie (Ulrey) Manier. She was raised in the Stanley area and graduated from Stanley High School.

Margie was united in marriage to Roy E. Olson, on November 4, 1941 in Stanley. After their marriage they traveled often, due to her husband being in the service during World War II. After his discharge they moved to Neillsville, where her husband worked for NSP. In 1960 they moved to Loyal and resided there until her husband’s death on February 26, 1993. Marie then moved to Prairie Du Chien to be near son and daughter-in-law.

Margie was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Margie will be sadly missed by her children, Sandra Kay Olson of Plymouth, Minn., Herbert R. (Sue) of Duluth, Minn. Roy E. Jr. (Alexis) of Menasha, David A. (Pam) of Prairie Du Chien; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and seven siblings.
