Yerigan, John (1884? - 15 Jan 1915)
John Yerigan of Fairchild, Wis., a man about 30 years of age, was instantly killed at Owen, Clark County, Wis. last Friday afternoon at about one o'clock, when he was run over by the Soo line fright No. 38. The accident was witnessed by several people from Loyal and vicinity who happened to be there at the time.
Yerigan was on his way to Chicago with a carload of potatoes and as the car was transferred from the F. and N. E. road to the Soo at Owen he was walking about the city. At about one o'clock when the train was leaving Yerigan attempted to board it while it was in motion and was thrown under the train, sever cars passing over his body. Yerigan is a married man and leaves a wife and two children. The remains were taken to Fairchild for burial.
