Schmidt, Catherine (22 Mar 1849 - 5 Apr 1915)

Mrs. Catherine Schmidt, one of Loyal, Clark County, Wis. well known citizens and wife of John Schmidt, died at her home here Monday evening, April 5, 1915 at the age of 65 years and 14 days. The cause of her death was pneumonia.

Deceased was born March 22, 1849 in Germany, where she spent the early part of her life. Many years ago she was married to Mr. John Schmidt and has lived in our village for a long time. She was a kind and true wife and a loving neighbor. She was always a hard worker and found most of her pleasure in life that way. She leaves to mourn her death her husband and two brothers, one of whom is Mr. John Schreier of our village.

The funeral will be held this forenoon from St. Balthasar's Catholic Church and the remains will be laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery, Rev. Joseph Stenz officiating.
