Graumann, Gustav (13 OCT 1835 - 3 May 1915)
Mr. Gustav Graumann, for many years a resident in our midst (Clark County, Wis.), died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman Millert, 425 St. Clair Av., Sheboygan, Wis., last Monday morning at 9 o'clock, at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 20 days.
Deceased was a pioneer of Manitowoc Co. and was born Oct. 13, 1835 at Iserlohn Westphalen, Germany. At the age of 19 he arrived at New York after a seven weeks tour across the water and from there went to the town of Newton, Manitowoc County, where he purchased a farm. He was married there to Miss Louise Carstens in 1858, who died Sept. 22, 1872. This union was blessed with six children, of whom one daughter preceded him in death. The surviving children are: Mrs. Anna Millert and Mrs. Clara Bundt of Sheboygan, Mrs. Louise Lemke of the town of Sherman, Clark County, Carl Graumann of Marshfield and Gustav Graumann, Jr. of Allegan, Mich.
