Grandin, Hattie H. (1882 - 10 Jan 1916)
Last Monday at a quarter of six the wires brought the sad news that the death angel had invaded the home and claimed Mrs. Hattie Grandin.
Hattie Helen Marx was born in Loyal, Clark County, Wis., in 1882. In 1905 she was united in marriage to Peter Grandin of Proctor, Minn. Three children were born to this union, Owen Marshall, Bernard Russell and a daughter who died in infancy. She had not been in the best of health for the past three years, a cancer being the cause of her ailment. She was taken to Rochester, Minn., but no help could be insured, then she was taken to Indianapolis, Ind., to the Leach Sanatorium but to no avail. She was brought back to her home at Proctor, Minn., Nov. 16, 1916, where she died Jan. 10, 1916. The body was brought here for burial Jan. 11th.
Mrs. Grandin was a member of the M. E. Church, from which the funeral was held last Friday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Powell officiating.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, two sons, her father, two brothers, two sisters and many other relatives and friends.
