Bragstad, Olga (Marriage - 30 JUN 1915)

On Wednesday, June 30, 1915, Miss Olga Bragstad and Mr. Earl H. Sloniker were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents.

The bride was attended by Misses Floy and Zula Sloniker and the groom by Julius Hembre and Oscar Bragstad. The couple marched down the stairway to the strains of a wedding march played by Miss Ruth Noetzel, to the center of the parlor, where they stood under a large bell, where the ceremony was performed by Rev. Willmarth. The parlor was decorated with ferns and yellow and white paper. The bride wore a crepe de chine dress.

Both of the young couple are well known in this vicinity (Clark County, Wis.). The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Bragstad. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Sloniker.

Only relatives and friends of the bride and groom were present at the wedding.

The young couple intends to make their home in Greenwood, Clark County in the D. Lindner residence. (Greenwood Gleaner)

I recently received the photo below of the happy couple from Sylvia Koroghlanian, who is a niece of Earl Sloniker. The actual date of the marriage as reported by Sylvia is June 30, 1915. Sylvia provided the photo above.

Thanks,

Laurel Bragstad Schaub .
