Miss Renae Ivadeane Abegglen and Craig Allen Nelson were married June 4, at Zion
Lutheran Church, Colby. The Rev. Robin Fink officiated.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Abegglen, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Nelson,
Spencer, are parents of the couple.
Mrs. Frank Smith, Battle Creek, Michigan, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were
Lorna Abeggle, Abbotsford, and Carol Nelson, Spencer. Michelle Smith, Battle
Creek, Michigan was flower girl.
Larry Nelson, Viroqua, was best an. Dale Abegglen, Abbotsford, and Arlyn
Abegglen, Spencer, were groomsmen.
Organist Adele Frome and soloist Shelly Raatz provided music at the ceremony.
Ushers were Kris Nelson and Clifford Smith, both of Owen.
The bide wore a sheer organza gown with a high Queen Anne neckline, ruffled,
flounced hemline which swept into a chapel train. She wore a matching
lace-covered hat with a fingertip veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of peach
and apricot roses, forget-me-nots, white carnations, stephanotis, lily of the
valley and baby's breath.
Bridesmaids and the flower girl wore cream-colored satin and sheer gowns with
ruffled hemlines forming bustles. They carried bouquets of peach and apricot
roses, white carnations, stephanotis, foret-me-nots and baby's breath.
A dinner at the Zion Lutheran Church auditorium, Colby, followed the ceremony.
The VFW Hall, Colby, was the site of a reception and dance.
The couple will live in Abbotsford. They took a week-long wedding trip to
Milwaukee and Michigan.
The bride graduated from Colby High School in 1982. The bridegroom graduated in
1974 from East Troy High School, Milwaukee. Both are employed at Continental
Manor, Abbotsford.
