Miles, Arthur R. (10 May 1871 - 12 Apr 1916)

Mr. Arthur R. Miles passed away in death at his home in our village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis., April 12, 1916.

Deceased was born in Dane Co., Wis., May 10, 1850. He was united in marriage to Miss Rosa Allen Nov. 1, 1874. Five children were born to this union, of which one is dead. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife and four children, also three brothers and three sisters.

He was a man of general impulses and always walked in the well-beaten path of righteousness. Through his death not only the sorrow family but also our village lost a good resident. He was a member of the M. W. A. and for many years was assessor of the village.

The funeral was held at the M. E. Church Sunday, April 16, Rev. Wilson Mallory conducted the service. Interment was at the Loyal Cemetery.
