APR 1856 - 5 May 1916) Mr. Byron Judd
died at his home at Spring Valley, Wis., Friday, May 5, 1916, at
the age of sixty years and nine days, death being due to
peritonitis. Deceased was born
at Rubicon, Wis. in 1856 and came to Clark County, Wis. in 1900,
where he lived on a farm until three years ago when he went west.
In 1914 he returned from the west and again made his home in this
vicinity until last fall, when he moved to Spring Valley, Wis. He was a man of
generous impulses and never forgot the hospitable ways of the
pioneer. He was a devoted husband and a kind and indulgent father,
and to his friends the soul of fellowship. He leaves to mourn
his death his wife and seven children, who are: Florence, who is
teaching at Rib Lake, Alvina and Will of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Arch.
Powell of the town of York, Mrs. Merle Benedict of the town of
York, Mrs. Ed Miller of Loyal and Arthur, who is at home. He also
leaves the following brothers and sister: George, Aurora, S.D.,
Frank of Bushnell, S. D., Orin of Detroit, Ore., Mrs. E. R. Ingle
of Longbeach, Cal., besides a host of other relatives and
friends. The funeral
services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the M. E.
Church, Rev. Powell officiating, and interment took place in the
