AUG 1872 - 1 Augl 1916) Mrs. Helena Gilloy
died Aug. 1, 1916 at the Marshfield Hospital, aged 44 years. She
was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rahm of the town of Sherman,
Clark County, Wis. Mrs. Gilloy was born in Germany, Aug. 1, 1872,
and lived there till she was nine years of age, when she came to
America with her parents. They lived in Plymouth about two years,
and then moved to the farm in the town of Sherman. On July 1, 1893,
she was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Gilloy, moving soon after
on the farm where they have since lived. Eight children were born
to this union, four of which having died. She leaves to mourn her
loss her husband, four children, Charlotte, Alice, Mildred and
Walter, her mother and two sisters of the town of Sherman, Mrs.
Bertha Arndt and Mrs. Anna Bredlau, three brothers, Charles and
August Rahm of Sherman, and E. Rahm of Deshler, Ohio, besides other
relatives and a host of friends. The funeral was held Aug. 3rd from
the Lutheran Church at Veefkind, Rev. B. F. Matter and Rev. E.
Kemena officiating. She was laid to rest in the Lutheran Cemetery
at Veefkind. Mrs. Gilloy was a
faithful member of the Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife and
mother and a kind neighbor, always ready to lend a helping hand in
