SEP 1836 - 9 Mar 1917) Mrs. James Bart
died at her home in this village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.), after
an illness of only two days, on March 9, 1917, aged 80 years, 5
months and 11 days. Nancy Hall was born in Ohio, Sept. 23, 1836 and
came when sixteen years of age to Chilton, Wis. with her parents.
On Nov. 7, 1859 she was united in marriage to Mr. James Bart. Mr.
and Mrs. Bart came to Clark County, Wis. thirty-five years ago,
settling on a farm 2 1/2 miles from this village, where they lived
until fifteen years ago, when they moved to this village. Seven
years ago they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. She
leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, six sons, James, Joseph and
George of Deer River, Minn., Eugene of Loyal, Charles of Barron,
Wis., and Will of Madison, two daughters, Mrs. Annie Whitcomb and
Mrs. Mary Parks of Park Falls, two brothers, Philip Hall of Chilton
and Robert Hall of Ashland, ten grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. The deceased was a good wife and a true help
meet, a kind and loving mother, always ready to sacrifice for her
children and home. She was a kind neighbor, ready to lend a helping
hand in time of need, both in acts of kindness and in words. She
will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends. The funeral
services were held at the Catholic Church on Wednesday morning,
Rev. Joseph F. Stenz officiating. She was laid to rest in the
Catholic Cemetery. The family has the sympathy of all in their
