Schreier, John (1852? - 29 Mar 1917)

John Schreier died at the home of his son Will in this village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) on Thursday, after an illness of only a few hours, aged 64 years. He had been in usual health up to a few hours before his death, and was planning to join his family at Beaver Dam, in a day or two.

He was born in Germany, and after coming to this country, lived in St. Mary's, Monroe Co. until twenty-one years ago, when he moved to Loyal. He was married Feb. 22, 1881 to Miss Katherine Rumbach. He leaves to mourn his loss, besides his wife, nine children, Mrs. Kate Andraska, Will, Mrs. Celia Kastenmier, Cornie, Susie, Leo, Andrew, Louie and Josephine, and eight grandchildren. The funeral services were held from the Catholic Church on Monday, Rev. Joseph F. Stenz officiating. He was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery. The family has the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
