TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 04/05/1917 Schreier, John
(1852? - 29 Mar 1917) John Schreier died
at the home of his son Will in this village (Loyal, Clark County,
Wis.) on Thursday, after an illness of only a few hours, aged 64
years. He had been in usual health up to a few hours before his
death, and was planning to join his family at Beaver Dam, in a day
or two. He was born in
Germany, and after coming to this country, lived in St. Mary's,
Monroe Co. until twenty-one years ago, when he moved to Loyal. He
was married Feb. 22, 1881 to Miss Katherine Rumbach. He leaves to
mourn his loss, besides his wife, nine children, Mrs. Kate
Andraska, Will, Mrs. Celia Kastenmier, Cornie, Susie, Leo, Andrew,
Louie and Josephine, and eight grandchildren. The funeral services
were held from the Catholic Church on Monday, Rev. Joseph F. Stenz
officiating. He was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery. The
