TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 08/02/1917 Phunstead, Nettie
P. (22 Sep 1893 - 21 Jul 1917) Died, at her home
in Buffalo, N.Y., July 21, 1917, after a few days illness, Mrs.
Nettie Pearl Phunstead. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob
Roohr, was born in the town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis. Sept. 22,
1893. On May 24, 1914
she was married to Thomas W. Phunstead at Duluth, since that time
they have lived at Buffalo, N.Y., as Mr. Phunstead has a position
as electrician on the boat on the Great Lakes, which runs between
Duluth and Rochester. She leaves to
mourn her loss, besides her husband and parents, nine brothers and
sisters, besides other relatives and a large number of friends. She
lived a Christian life, was baptized when a young child at home and
was a faithful and regular attendant at church. She was a favorite
with everyone, bright and winning in her ways, so that friendship's
circle was to her a large one. The funeral
services were held at the Beaver Church Sunday afternoon, July
19th, her old school mates acting as the pallbearers. The many
beautiful flowers given by the friends showed the high esteem in
which the deceased was held. She was laid to rest in the Beaver
Cemetery. The family ahs the sympathy of all in their
