TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 08/16/1917 Rahm, Elizabeth
(25 JUN 1841 - 6 Augl 1917) Mrs. Elizabeth
Rahm was born June 25, 1841 in the Province of Grunderweiler
Rheinpfolz, Germany, and died at her home near Veefkind Aug. 6,
1917, aged 76 years, 1 month and 12 days. On April 7, 1863
she was united in marriage to Peter Rahm. In the year 1881 she
immigrated to America and settled in the town of Sherman, Clark
County, Wis., where she has since resided. Unto this union
seven children were born, two of which have gone to the great
beyond and her aged husband, who died six years ago. Five children
are left to mourn their mother's death, three boys and two
daughters, Karl, August, Edward, Bertha and Anna. The deceased was a
kind and loving mother, a good neighbor and a pleasant lady to
meet. The end was as peaceful as the close of a beautiful day, when
daylight fades into night with increasing loveliness. She will be
missed by all who knew her. Funeral services
were held at the Lutheran Salem Church at Veefkind, Wednesday, Aug.
8th, conducted by the family pastor Rev. B. F. Matter and assisted
by Rev. E. Kemena of Loyal. The remains were laid to rest in the
Salem Cemetery at Veefkind. The children have the sympathy of the
entire community in their bereavement. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
