TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 11/02/1916 Windl, Francis
(Marriage - 24 OCT 1916) A double wedding
took place in this village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) last Tuesday
morning, Oct. 24, 1916, in which the contracting parties were two
brothers and two sisters. The ceremony took place at the Catholic
Church at nine o'clock, when Miss Kate Windl was united in marriage
to Mr. Paul Gravitter and Miss Francis Windl was married to Mr.
Rudolph Gravitter, Rev. Joseph F. Stenz officiating. The couples were
attended by Mr. Carl Haas and Miss Weber of Johnson Creek, Mr. Ed
Beaver and Miss Rose Windl and Mr. Frank Windl and Miss Mamie
Scheckelman. The brides were
becomingly attired in white and carried bouquets of lilies of the
valley. Both grooms wore the conventional black. The bridesmaids
wore white and carried flowers. At the conclusion
of the ceremony the bridal party and the guests went to the home of
the brides, where a fine dinner and supper was enjoyed. They
received a large number of handsome and valuable gifts. The brides are the
oldest daughters of Mr. and Mrs. George Windl, and are well known
and popular in this vicinity. The grooms are
sons of Mr. and Mrs. John Gravitter, formerly of Spencer and now of
Loyal, and while not well known here, they are well spoken of and
have the respect and esteem of all. The two couples
will be at home on farms of the grooms' west of Spencer. The Tribune joins
with their friends in wishing them a long and prosperous life. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
