TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 04/05/1917 Schmidt, Emma
(Marriage - 4 Apr 1917) The Lutheran
Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday evening April
4, 1917, at 8 o'clock, when Miss Emma Schmidt was united in
marriage to Mr. Arthur Gloff. Rev. E. Kemena, pastor of the church,
pronounced the ceremony in a most impressive manner. The couple was
attended by Miss Agnes Schmidt and Mrs. Amelia Schmidt, as
bridesmaids and by George Schuelke of Marshfield and Mr. Ernest
Schmidt as groomsmen. The bride was
dressed in blue messaline with veil and carried white
carnations. After the ceremony
the wedding party repaired to the home of the bride's mother, where
a wedding supper was served to relatives and a few friends. They
received many nice gifts. The bride is a
daughter of Mrs. Johanna Schmidt and is a popular young lady. The
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Gloff and is well known and
respected in this vicinity (Clark County, Wis.). They will go to
housekeeping at once on the groom's father's farm. The Tribune
joins with friends in wishing them a happy and prosperous life. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
