Miss Marion Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lew Smith of the town of York, Clark County, Wis., and Mr. Alton E. Whitney of Superior, were married at Fort Wayne, Indiana, April 16, 1917. The bride is one of our brightest and best girls, a trained nurse who has been professionally engaged in the west, where this acquaintance ripened into love and this most eventful step was taken. The groom is a construction engineer. A young man with the qualifications and means to well care for and make happy the charming wife he has secured. They will take up residence at Council Bluff, Iowa, where he is now superintending the building of a large grain elevator.
