Walters, Mary (Marriage - 5 JUN 1917)
The Catholic Church was the scene of a pretty
wedding on Tuesday morning June 5, 1917, at nine o'clock, when Miss Mary Walters
and Mr. Leo Scheckelman were united in marriage, Rev. Joseph F. Stenz
officiating. They were attended by Misses Rose Schmidt and Tillie Scheckelman
and Messrs. John and Joseph Walters. The bride wore a white messaline gown and
carried florews, and wore a veil. After the ceremony the wedding party drove to
the home of the bride, where a fine wedding dinner was enjoyed. Only relatives
and intimate friends were present. In the evning a wedding dance was given at
the Heintown Hall, which was enjoyed by a large number of young people. The
bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Walters and is very well known in
this vicinity (Clark County, Wis.), and esteemed by all. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. George Scheckelman and is a progressive and reliable young farmer.
Both young people have a large circle of friends, who join with the Tribune in
wishing them many years of happiness. They will go to housekeeping at once on
the farm recently purchased by the groom.
