Rieck, Auguste (20 SEP 1830 - 27 May 1920)

Mrs. Auguste Rieck (Reich) was born Sept. 20, 1830 in Prenzlow Province of Brandenburg, Germany. In 1856 she married Herman Rademacher. This union was blessed with four children.

They came to America in 1871 and settled on a farm in the town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis., where she lived until they moved to Loyal about 2 weeks before her death. Her second husband was John Rieck, whom she married in 1872. He died in 1886. She made her home with her son Louis Rademacher. Last Thursday morning, May 27, 1920 she was taken from our midst after suffering for some time from heart trouble and old age. She reached the ripe old age of 89 years, 8 months and 7 days, and leaves to mourn her loss 1 son, Louis Rademacher, and 1 daughter, Mrs. Charles Brussow, both of Loyal, and other relatives.

Services were held at the Lutheran Church Saturday afternoon, Rev. Kemena officiating, after which she was laid to rest in the city cemetery at Greenwood.
