TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 07/02/1920 Nichols, Charles
H. (3 Jul 1868 - 20 JUN 1920) Charles Henry
Nichols was born in the town of Holland, Sheboygan Co., Wis., July
3, 1868. He died at his home in this village (Loyal, Clark County,
Wis.) Sunday, June 20, 1920, aged 51 years, 11 months and 17 days.
Mr. Nichols had been in poor health for several months, but the end
came suddenly. He came with his parents to Clark County, Wis. in
Sept. 1881, almost 39 years ago and resided on a farm 1 1/2 miles
West of Loyal until July 1919, when he moved to the village. He was
married to Miss Eliza F. Hutchens March 16, 1895, and to this union
was born two children, Evelyn and Geneva. He was a kind and
loving husband and father, a true friend to his friends. He united
with the M. E. Church in Loyal in March 1896. He was a man of very
quiet and reserved habits, died as he has lived, calm and peaceful,
just falling asleep in Jesus. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife
and two daughters, Evelyn and Geneva, two sisters, Mrs. Celia
Rockwell of Darien and Mrs. Lydia Oleson of Waupaca, who with her
husband attended the funeral, and numerous other relatives and
friends. The funeral
services were held at the Methodist Church on Wednesday afternoon
at 2 o'clock, Rev. J. H. Chatterson officiating. Interment was in
the Loyal Cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
