Carolina Henrietta Pagelsdorf died at her home in Loyal, Clark
County, Wis. Wednesday, June 30, 1920, of heart failure at the age
of 55 years, 4 months and 2 days. She was born in
Pommern, Germany, Feb. 28, 1865 and came to America in 1882, and
settled near Deerfield, Wis. On Nov. 23, 1882 she was married to
Edward Pagelsdorf at Waterloo, Wis. In the year 1902
Mr. and Mrs. Pagelsdorf moved to Clark County, Wis. and seven years
ago came to this village, where they have since resided. She is survived by
her husband, three sons, Emil, Theodore and Edward, all of this
vicinity, and four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Blecha of Beloit, Mrs.
Martha Beilka of Granton, Mrs. Emma Motchenbacker of Loyal, and
Mrs. Esther Rondorf of York, two sisters, Mrs. Matilda Wagner of
Rockford, Ill., and one sister in Germany, besides other relatives
and a large number of friends. The deceased was a
kind wife and mother and a good neighbor. She was of a quiet and
retiring nature, so that her best qualities were hidden from the
public. The funeral
services were held at the Lutheran Church on Saturday afternoon at
2 o'clock, Rev. E. Kemena officiating. She was laid to rest in the
Lutheran Cemetery. The relatives from
away who attended the funeral were Mrs. Matilda Wagner of Rockford,
Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gramzow and Wilhelmine Hendrick of Wausau
